Mary Edith Hensley, 87, of New Carlisle, passed away May 7, 2020. She was born in Muses Mills, Kentucky on June 13, 1932, to the late Herbert and Maude (Ferris) Hinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Hensley; and her siblings, Lillian Conn, Lola Crawford, Virginia Beckett, Helen Hall, Juanita Riggle, and Herbert Hinton Jr.
Mary is survived by her son, Danny Hensley; granddaughter, Stacey (David) Michael; great-granddaughter, Lillian Emberton; sisters, Margaret McRoberts and Joyce Newsome; and many other loving family members and friends.
She had been a member of V.F.W. Post #9684 and the American Legion Post #286 for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed watching the birds in her yard and gardening.
Due to current restrictions, services will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St., Xenia, OH 45385-2983.
