Mary Jane Gibson (Janie), age 72, a longtime resident of Miamisburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Sycamore Medical Center surrounded by the love of family.
She was born February 14, 1946 in Hillsboro, Ohio to the late Maurice and Lucy Shaffer.
She is survived, in love, by her husband of 54 years, Roger Gibson; daughter, Tammy Kolokowski; sons, Hank Gibson and Jamie Gibson; son-in-law, Bill Kolokowski; daughter-in-law, Cyndi Gibson; grandchildren, Brittany Gibson, Jake Gibson, Megan Kolokowski, Travis Gibson; granddaughters-in-law, Melissa Gibson, Tiffany Gibson; great-grandchildren, Liam Gibson, Adeline Gibson, Graysen Gibson, Baby Gibson (on the way); sisters; Debbie Speaks, Bonnie Stephenson, Joy Shaffer; brothers, Daryl Shaffer, Donnie Shaffer, Terry Shaffer.
Janie worked for 34 Years at Avery Denison as a Press Operator. After retiring, she remained dedicated to her home; creating a caring space where she welcomed family and friends, both old and new. She found joy and happiness in the presence of those she loved.
The family welcomes visitors to Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 1pm-3pm at 3940 Kettering Boulevard, Kettering, Ohio, 45439. Graveside services will follow immediately after at Highland Memorial Cemetery, located at 723 Upper Miamisburg Road, Miamisburg, Ohio, 45342.
