Age 89, passed away Monday, December 7, 2009, at Spring Creek Nursing Center.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lawrence E. Hammond; and by one daughter, Jo.
Mary is survived by four children, Ruth (Tom) Davis, Clara (Rodney) Stephens, Floyd (Phyllis) Hammond & Bill Hammond; eight grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Nance; nieces, Marie & Sue; her "adopted son" Ernie; and by her extended family & many good friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Interment will be in LaFollette, Tennessee, on Monday.
If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Mary to VITAS Hospice.
