Mary Evelyn Barr

BARR, Mary Evelyn, age 84, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2009. She was born February 25, 1924 in Beavercreek, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. Barr; both parents, Harold and Flossie (Smart) Hanes; one sister, Betty Thurmond; two brother-in-laws, Bill Thurmond and Gary Uhrig. She is survived by two daughters, Patty (Ronnie) Snead and Bonnie (Frank) Scott; two sons, Larry Barr, Jr. and Harold (Carylle) Barr; one sister, Linda (Don) Fleming; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with Pastor John Mittermaier officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to time of service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Wood Glen (Willow Bay and Spring Cove) for their love and care.
