Elliott, Mary Ellen (Jarman) Age 93 of Mason, OH and formerly of Washington, Twp., passed away November 28, 2015. She was born in Traverse City, MI to the late Ray and Grace (Timanus) Jarman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Allan B. Elliott and granddaughter, Caroline M. Althen. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Carol A. Bucher (Thomas) of Centerville, Susan E. Garten (Alan) of Loveland, and Jane A. Althen (Marc) of Mohnton, PA.; her 7 grandchildren, Brian T. Bucher (Jennifer) of Centerville, Elizabeth A. (Bucher) Stoker (Michael) of River Forest, IL, Michael T. Bucher (Angela Schreffler) of Denver, CO, Scott A. Garten (Andrea) of Cincinnati, Jenny E. (Garten) Werden (Robert) of Maineville, Katherine L. Althen of New York, NY and Sarah A. Althen of Mohnton, PA; and 12 great-grandchildren; and brother Rev. Dr. Donald R. Jarman of Beaverton, OR.

Mary Ellen was a graduate of Christian College in Columbia, MO (now Columbia College). She was a 53 year member of P.E.O., and an active member of the League of Women Voters of the Dayton Area from 1968-81. She was a member of Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Kettering and served on the State Board of Christian Women's Fellowship. Mary Ellen and her husband, Allan, owned Curry Printing in Washington Twp., from 1977 to 1984. They retired to Nokomis, FL in 1987 and returned to the Dayton area in 2002.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on March 12th at 11:30 in the Community Mausoleum at David's Cemetery, 4600 Mad River Road, with visitation from 10:30-11:30 and a light lunch reception to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Ellen's memory to Crossroads Hospice, 4380 Glendale-Milford Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45242 or Columbia College of Missouri in support of the First Christian Church Scholarship, Columbia College Office of Development, 1001 Rogers St. Columbia, MO 65216 or gifts may be made online by visiting www.ccis.edu/onlinegiving.
