Mary Ellen Dix

Dix, Mary Ellen, age 81, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. She was born July 24, 1930 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Sonny & Beadie Ward. Mary Ellen was a member of Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church in Dayton and retired from Bank One. Mary Ellen is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years: Richard; daughters and son-in-law: Rosemary Hayes, Marva J. Dix, Luchanna (Bently) Davis; Lisa R. Greene; siblings: Tressie Porter, Ezekiel (Anita) Ward, Ophelia Hall, Mercides Neil, Michael (Elinor) Ward; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Mary Catherine Ward. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church, 3701 Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio. Interment will follow the service at West Memory Gardens in Moraine, Ohio. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of service, with family arriving at 11:00 A.M.
