Mary Elizabeth Moritz (nee Wetz), formerly of Germantown, Kettering, and currently Miamisburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 11, 2013 at age 93 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Albert after 64 years of marriage.
She was a long time member of First Lutheran Church located in downtown Dayton and was a charter member of the Germantown Historical Society. Mary had a green thumb and grew beautiful flowers both in and outdoors. She also fed and enjoyed watching the birds in her yard. She was an employee of the Mike-Sells Potato Chip Company, serving there as a bookkeeper for 17 years.
Mary was a devoted mother to 2 daughters, Mary Carolyn (Bob) Gorman and Joanna Mae (James) Fara; grandchildren, Julie (Edward) Mayer, Douglas Gorman M.D., Elizabeth (Joseph) Beal, and Rebecca (Kenneth) Rivera; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Peter, Thomas, and Sarah Mayer and Rosetta Beal.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 2-3 pm at Miami Valley Memory Gardens Mausoleum (1639 E Lytle 5 Points Rd Centerville, OH 45458). The service will follow at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary's memory to the American Heart Association.
