Mary E. Haley

Haley, Mary E., age 87, of Dayton, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010. Mary was born October 11, 1922 in Middletown, Ohio to the late Clarence & Minnie (Sorrell) Newcomb. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John H. Haley (1978) and her son: Michael S. Haley (1984). She is survived by her loving children: John P. (Soo) Haley of Dayton, Jane (Dennis) Buechele of Xenia, Tim Haley of Florida, Terry Haley of Dayton, Kathy (James) Buddendeck of Dayton, Karen (Stephen) Jahrsdoerfer of Indiana, Sharon (Larry) Croucher of Dayton, James Haley of Dayton. She will be missed by her 30 wonderful grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Mary was a proud and devoted mother and homemaker. She worked over 10 years in food services at the University of Dayton, and enjoyed being a member of Moraine Eagles #3925 for over 22 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1322 Brown St., Dayton with Father Gary Aultz Celebrant. Interment will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Mary.
