Mary Davidson

Mary Eunice Alford Davidson, 83, was born in Newnan, Georgia on the 4th of July 1940. She was the daughter of Ralph and Pecola Alford. She departed this life on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital North with her loving family, Tebbin and Talisha by her side.

Mary was preceded in death by both her parents, Ralph and Pecola Alford; her brother, Richard (Roberta) Alford; and a very special niece, Kelly Alford.

Mary had a special place in her heart for her granddaughter, Talisha. They had a close bond and would always kiss and make up.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories of her two children, Tebbin (Linda) Alford and Ronda Reid; brother, Willie; sister, Cheryl (Garrett) Milton; grandchildren, Darnell, Byron, Madonna, Jazzone, Tebnisha, Tonie, and Talisha; great-grandchildren, NaTozja, Tywan, Jazarah, Kiya, KJ, Kyrie, Kanise, and Matthew as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, caregivers, and friends.

Mary was raised in Dayton, Ohio area where she attended the Dayton Public Schools. She was the owner of "Right Now" mini market in Dayton View and enjoyed participating in the annual "Miss Mary Day" the community held each year in her honor.

She received Christ as Savior at a very young age in the Pentecostal Church and could play the piano very well. Born on the 4th of July, a real firecracker, good with her hands, what else needs to be said. Missed, but not forgotten.


Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 2pm - 3pm with a memorial service to follow all at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, OH 45439
