Dancer, Mary Elizabeth, age 71 years, of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away on February 14, 2022, unexpectedly following a short illness at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

She was born on June 4, 1950 in Hazard, Kentucky to Clarence and Ruby Combs, the third of 12 children. The family moved to Ohio and she graduated high school from Northmont H.S. She subsequently graduated with her nursing degree from MVCTC however chose not to pursue a career in healthcare. She retired from Daimler-Chrysler-Behr in 2008. She found interest and joy in education and traveling. Often called 'traveling Mary' by her family, she was known to take spur of the moment trips and was often quite spontaneous. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Combs, Ruby (Noble) Combs, spouse, Terry L. Dancer, and siblings Ruth (Warner) Cottrill, and Harold (Bonnie ) Combs. She is survived by her children: Michael (Brandy) Schoen of Wasilla, AK and Lewisburg, OH respectively, Stephanie (Jan) Kidd-Sperre of Fort Wayne, IN, Jessica Johnson, and Travis Dancer of Lewisburg, OH, 9 grandchildren: Whitney (Devin) Harvey of Lafayette, IN, Myranda (Tom) Schoen-Bittel of Beavercreek, OH, Tchanse (Hanna) Schoen of Kettering, OH, Jordan Kidd, Victoria Kidd, Mackenzie Kidd, Ryley Kidd, Braydon Johnson, and Alayna Johnson, 5 great-grandchildren: Jaxson Harvey, Greyson Bittel, Adeleine Bittel, Austyn Schoen, and Karson Schoen. Surviving siblings include Ernie (Barb) combs of Dayton, OH, Lawrence (Patsy) Combs of Lewisburg, OH, Betty (Jack-deceased) Farmer of Seymour, TN, Ronald (Mary) Combs of Greenfield, IN, Barbara Brock of Gatlinburg, TN, Katherine Morgan of Naples, FL, Randall Combs of Dandridge, TN, DaOnda (Robert) Payne of Seymour, TN, Chad (Brenda) Combs of Seymour, TN. She has many surviving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public service, rather, there will be a gathering of family and friends on June 4, 2022 at the Lewisburg, Ohio Community Center beginning at 5:00 pm, to commemorate her life and influence on so many individuals.
