Mary Catherine Moening, age 88 of Dayton, passed away October 28, 2015. She was born October 5, 1927 in Somerset, KY to the late Henry and Rushia Barnes. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Clinton Barnes, Nora Barnes, Virginia Hartings, Gladys Scales and Pauline Snyder.
Mary is survived by her husband of 66 years, Louis "Bud" Moening; children: Mary L. Moening, Jeff (Pam) Moening and Ted (Angie) Moening; grandchildren: Jenna Moening, Joshua (Neashall) Daugherty, Lisa (Terrell) Litteral and David (Amy) Daugherty; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Lovie "Joyce" Kunka; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 310 Allen Street, Dayton. Father Francis Tandoh, Celebrant. Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
