Mary Ann Caskey, a beloved figure in the Dayton community, passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on August 8, 1930, in Dayton, Ohio, Mary dedicated her life to caring for her family and supporting her community.
Mary’s love for her family was profound and unwavering. She is survived by her daughter, Ann "Shellie" Caskey, and her son, Mark (Robyn) Caskey. As a grandmother, she took pride in her grandchildren: Britnie (Chris) Lomanno, Seth (Kate) Caskey, and Sierra (Jake) Caskey. Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, Luke Caskey, Wyatt Caskey, Bianca Lomanno, Bennett Caskey, and Leo Lomanno, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Throughout her life, Mary Ann demonstrated a strong commitment to serving others. She volunteered for the AMVETS, dedicating many years to making calls for donations to support the organization’s mission. Her contributions to the community exemplified her caring spirit and dedication to helping those in need.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice Richards, Sr. and Frances Richards, and her brothers, Maurice Richards, Jr. and Bob Richards.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 2pm at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, where Mary will be laid to rest.
