Mary Louise Carroll, age 82 of Riverside, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022. She was born July 11, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Edward and Margaret Overman (Baker).
Mary graduated from Wilbur Wright High School and retired from Kroger Corporation. She was a member of the Grandmother's Club of the Milton Club. She was a devout member of St. Helen Church. She will be remembered for her bright, shining smile, and graceful spirit. She always put others before herself and maintained the faith to keep going to help others in need. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed. Mary was an active, happy person who enjoyed participating in a number of bowling leagues over the years, walking with her friends at Shellabarger Park, and getting together with her long-time friends Marian Crase, Juanita Schultz, and Debbie Semones every week for a girls night out.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Carroll; daughter, Cheryl Coker; sister, Joan Mills and brother, Jerry Overman.
Mary is survived by her long-time friend and companion, Terry Maberry; children, Chuck (Barb) Carroll, Margie (Brad) Keenan, and John (Sue) Carroll; 15 grandchildren, Melissa, Andrea, Sara, Elizabeth, Kristen, Matthew, Marisa, Rachel, Samantha, Ann, Sarah, Brent, Ryan, Amy, and Mikala; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Jack Overman; sisters, Margaret Ann Relph and Janice Vanderpool; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial donations can be sent to St. Helen Church in memory of Mary Carroll.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Helen Church. Mary will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery following Mass.
