Mary Alice Still
January 25, 1935 — June 1, 2022
Mary Alice Still, age 87 of Huber Heights, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in Dayton, Ohio. She was born January 25, 1935 in Forest City, Arkansas and was a blessing to her family.
Mary confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, at an early age and continued throughout her life believing and trusting God. She was a member of Greater Galilee in Huber Heights, OH. Mary had a strong faith that she could overcome whatever she faced in life. She loved her family and often would do little things just to bring joy to their life or just because.
She married the love of her life, Robert E. Still on November 7, 1957. They dated for three years and were married for 64 years. Mary was an excellent cook and prided herself in making very tasty meals for her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, George Griggs and Mattie Watson and her daughters, Mary Ann Holmes and Deborah Washington. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 64 years, Robert E. Still Sr.; four sons: Robert (Sheryl) Still, Gregory (Natalie) Still and Dwight Still all from Dayton, OH, and Rowlan (Sharon) Still of Alabama; two daughters: Sherry (Michael) Cox of Alabama and Barbara (Marvin) Listenbee of Michigan. Beloved daughter-in-law, Rev. Dr. Camille Still, God-daughter, Jeanene Barnes from Dayton, Ohio and God-son, Randall Wilson of Fort Washington. 29 grandchildren; Shawn (Natieya) Still and Bryan Still, Jordan, Jarrod (Ozera) and Omni Cox, Natasha, Felicia, and Shiquilia Still, Lyntia, Sierra and Kayla Still; nineteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Newcomer North Dayton Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The service will follow at 1:30 pm. Mary will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, OH.
