Marvis C. Sloan

Marvis Cecilia "Mack" Sloan, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully Monday, May 6, 2013 at age 77.

She retired from Elder-Beerman, Kettering Shoe Department in 2008. Her family was her greatest joy along with reading a good spy novel and working puzzles.

"Mack" is preceded in death by her parents; Orlo L. and Myrna L. Barber (Warne), husband; Burton Sloan, infant daughter; Pamela Foer, brother; William Barber, sisters; Mavis Koopman and Karen Barber.

Survived by her daughters; Patricia (Steve) Webb and Kathy (David) Aboud, son; Walter (Lorna) Foer, granddaughters; Tracy (Jared) Hendricks, Jennifer (Ronald) Martin and Nina Blaido, grandsons; Eric Miller, Jay Mount and Christopher Blaido, great-grandchildren Sierra, Aaron, Sydney, Elijah, Savannah, Eliana, Aeris, Zoe, Jazmine, Izaih and Zavire, sisters; Kay (William) Utley and Cheryl Shippy and brother; Burton (Harriet) Barber. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley.
