Marvin Jay Cox, age 54, born in Wilmington, OH Jan. 1, 1955. Marvin departed us with a battle of cancer on August 16, 2009. He attended Centerville High school. Marvin served with the US Army 101st Infantry Screaming Eagles. He graduated from the academy of Ft. Knox, KY in 1972. Marvin drove a semi truck for Dick Levy. He was preceded in death by his mother Joan (Martin) McCarty, Bonnie (Cox) Roddy, and life long companion Sharon Cox. Survived by his father Virgil Cox, sister Teresa (Cox) Eibeck, brother Jerry Cox, Three sons and wives Michael and Cindy Cox, Daniel and Paula Cox and Nathan Williams. 3 grandchildren Kasey Cox, Wesley Cox, Hudson Lee Cox and many other nieces and nephews who love him like their own father. He is truly missed by many friends and family who he has touched in his journey on earth. He was the rock that kept our family strong, in our hearts he will live on never to be forgotten. The family will receive friends Monday, August 24, 2009 from 4-6 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). A memorial service will follow at 6pm.
