Marvin Eugene (Gene) Bryant, 82, of Beavercreek, OH, passed away at his home on Friday April 13, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carole (Armentrout); daughters, Laura Nelson (Michael) and Jill Fuhs (Bob); grandchildren, Andrew, Shelby and Blair Nelson; and brother, Leo Bryant (Ilva). Gene was born in Monroe, LA on February 23, 1930. He graduated from Louisiana Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He studied business management under a Sloan Fellowship at Stanford University to complete post graduate work at Harvard and MIT. Gene received a commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force Reserve. He worked at WPAFB and earned an Exceptional Civilian Service Medal and two Meritorious Civilian Service Medals for job related accomplishments. He retired from Senior Executive Service in 1988. Gene was an Eagle Scout, commercial pilot, elder in the Presbyterian Church and past president of the Beavercreek Jaycees. A private burial will be held.
