Marvin C. Elam, age 71, of Dayton, passed away on September 15, 2022. He was born on October 13, 1950 to the late John and Edna Elam.
He enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He also really liked sports, including playing baseball and going bowling. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Elam, and his sister, Cindy Dennis.
His memory will be cherished by his beloved wife of 53 years, Donna Elam; his son, Matthew (Paula) Elam; grandchildren: Rachael (Matthew) McIntosh, Mattison Elam, and Gerron Elam; great-grandchildren: Matthew and Jackson McIntosh, and Jade Strickland; brother, Steve Elam; sister, Connie Huselton; brother, Darrell Elam; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio. A service will begin at 10:30am the following morning on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Following the service, Marvin will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
