Marvin Neal Eagle, a kind-hearted and good-natured man peacefully passed away on October 5, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 88. Born on September 15, 1936, in Saint Charles, Virginia, Marvin’s life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family and his spirited personality.
A proud veteran, Marvin served honorably in the U.S. Air Force, where he played a vital role in building runways in Korea. Following his military service, he retired from the Chrysler Automotive Plant in Dayton and subsequently took on a new chapter in his career working for O'Rileys, delivering auto parts. His work ethic and dedication were a testament to his character.
Marvin was known for his stubbornness, but those close to him knew it was driven by a deep love for his family. He made it a point to cherish each moment with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, striving to make them feel special through his kindness and caring nature.
In addition to his family, Marvin enjoyed various hobbies throughout his life. His passion for playing the lottery brought him excitement, while his collection of coins, knives, and eagle-related memorabilia reflected his unique interests and love for the symbolism of the eagle.
Marvin is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Eagle; daughters Kimberly (Mike) Cecil and Regena Redmond; and grandchildren Michael (Leslie) Cecil, William Daugherty, Jamie Nicole Baker, James Alfred (Tabitha) Redmond, Jordan Charles Neal Redmond, and Cali Michelle Duff. He was further blessed with 13 great-grandchildren. Marvin cherished the company of his sisters, Von Thomas and Glenda Coovert, along with numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Georgie Eagle; daughters, Susan Michelle Eagle and Terri Lynn Eagle; brother, Jimmy Eagle; and sister, Eulene Comer.
Marvin Neal Eagle will be remembered not only for his devoted familial bonds but also for his genuine spirit that touched the lives of those who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family will endure in the cherished memories held by his loved ones.
