Age 67 of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, at VITAS Hospice in Dayton.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin & Dorothy (Stebbins) Shively; two brothers, Edwin & Willis Shively; and by one sister, Merna Smith.
Marvin is survived by his wife of the past 25 years, Sharon L. (Steele) Shively; three daughters, Carol (Daniel) Brad, Barbara (David) Kohr & Christy (Michael) Wulf; nine grandchildren, Sarah, Emily & Ryan Brad, Ashley, Christopher, Matthew, Joshua & Jason Kohr and Hannah Wulf; one brother, Gerald (Nadine) Shively; three sisters, Jean Jeffries, Mary Benton & Judy Potts; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Marvin was a U. S. Navy veteran. He was a life-member of the National Rifle Assoc., Ohio Rifle & Pistol Assoc., Miami Valley Rifle & Pistol Assoc. and the Clinton County Farmers & Sportsman Assoc.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
The family would like to thank the VITAS Hospice staff in Cincinnati and Dayton for the loving care they provided to Marvin. If friends desire contributions may be made in memory of Marvin to VITAS Hospice.
