Marvin C Freeman

Freeman, Marvin C, age 94, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 11, 2013.
He was born April 21, 1919 in Livingston, TN to the late Wayne J. and Alma (Cooper) Freeman. Marvin resided at Elmcroft of Xenia, and formerly resided in Dayton, OH and Crossville, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Nolan Freeman; brother, Roscoe Freeman; sister, Maurine Freeman.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 76 years, Odean (Sisco) Freeman; son, Kenneth (Linda) Freeman of Kettering, OH; daughters, Ann (Dwight) Wolf and Janet (Donald) Monk of Beavercreek, OH; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Vandever of Crossville, TN; daughter-in-law, Darlene Freeman of Urbandale, IA; sister-in-law, Katherine Freeman of Crossville, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
He was an Ordained Deacon and was a member of Faircreek Church in Fairborn. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a radar operator and radio technician. Marvin worked at Delco Products for 20 years and then was a furniture salesman for many years. He enjoyed wood carving, intarsia, ceramics, fishing, and traveling.
Marvin was a mischievous practical joker who enjoyed making those around him laugh.
Rev. Greg Trout will officiate the funeral service.
Burial, with Military Honors, at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
