Martin E. Pulley
Martin E. Pulley, age 66 of Dayton, passed away on Thursday November 3, 2011. He was born on November 18, 1944 in Detroit MI to Sarah Stanfill.
In addition to his mother, Martin was preceded in death by, Charles and Reba Blakley, Gary and JoAnn Blakley, Sarah and Richard Vollmer.
Martin is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Pulley; step-father, Troy Stanfill; son, Martin E. Pulley, II; two grandchildren, Aaron (Amanda) and Alec; sister, Johnette (Wayne) Warner; sister-in-law, Lisa Blakley; half brother, Paul Pulley and numerous other family members and good friends.
Martin honorably served his country as a member of the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He also retired after 36 years of work from Dayton Daily News.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 12, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior from 1:00-3:00 pm.
