Martha Jane "Missy" White

Martha Jane White, affectionately known as "Missy," passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025, in Beavercreek, Ohio. Born on July 11, 1937, in Circleville, Ohio, Missy lived a life marked by purpose, care, and affection, touching the hearts of many throughout her years.

She was a proud graduate of the Mt. Carmel School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio, who served as a Registered Nurse, embodying kindness and thoughtfulness in every interaction with her patients and their families. 

She was a lover of life, an avid square dancer and bowler, and found immense joy in the game of golf. Missy's laughter and zest for life were infectious, and her presence illuminated any room she entered.

She was a devoted member of the Church of the Ascension, where her faith guided her actions and relationships. Her purposeful approach to life made her a pillar of strength for her loved ones, and her caring nature provided comfort and support to those in need.

Missy is survived by her beloved husband, Joe White, who stood by her side through life's many adventures. She leaves behind her devoted children: Jerry (Denise) Nordby, Tracy (Mike) Robbins, Joe Nordby, Kenneth (Sandy) Nordby, and Lois Eberly. Additionally, Missy is cherished by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought joy to her life.

Missy was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mary Rhoads, and nine older brothers and sisters, each of whom played a role in shaping the remarkable woman she became.

Though we mourn the physical loss of Missy, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy of love, compassion, and joy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation will be held from 3:00pm-5:00pm, on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where a Blessing Service will begin at 5:00pm.
