Martha R. Langenhorst

Martha R. Langenhorst, age 97 of Kettering, passed peacefully on November 10, 2014. She was born August 6, 1917 in St. Henry, Ohio to the late George and Rose Schoen. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest A.; son, Ernest J.; son-in-law, Tom Martin; 7 brothers; and 1 sister.

Martha is survived by her children: Mary Ann, Patricia (Alfred), Barbara (Fred), Susie (Larry), Judi, and Kathy (Greg); daughter-in-law, Sue; grandchildren: Brian (Heather), Shawn (Kerri), Amanda (Matthew), and Ashley; great grandchildren: Simon, Addie, Katie, and Micah; sister, Clara Rammel. Martha was loved by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave., Kettering, where visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Martha's memory to The Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Martha's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Kettering Medical Center for making her stay there so comfortable.
