Martha Vernae Qualls

Martha Vernae Qualls, 56, was granted her "Angel Wings" on Friday, November 4, 2016 in Dayton, Ohio. Her final days were spent, in peace and celebration, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Martha was a life-long resident of Dayton, OH, attended Nettie Lee Roth High School and a current member of Rockhill Missionary Baptist Church. She was also known as amazing heart and spent her the rest of her life being a caretaker to many others, not only in her profession but also in her personal life. She exemplified greatness in service for many years as a Tech in the Burn Unit at Miami Valley Hospital. This phenomenal tradition continued until her last days when she sat her family members down and ensured that they were okay by gingerly informing them of her transition to her permanent home in heaven.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents: William James (Bill) & Jessie Maude (Lovelace) Qualls, her daughter: Shurlitta R. Qualls, her grandchildren: Bry'Von, Breah and Bailey Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daugthers: Sha'Mia Y. (Harold Johnson) Qualls and Levonna V. (Brian Jackson) Randolph, grandchildren: Ja'Veona L. Anderson, Bry'Ven Jackson, Harmoni Johnson and Bry'Son Jackson. Her sister's: Jessie (Vikki) Cowan and Debra (Debbie) Postell. Her nieces and nephews: Amica (Robert) Ballard, Vicki Burton, James Burton, Amiel Qualls, Zenovia Burton, Lonetta Postell and special nephew: Brian (Lindsay) Moore. In addition to a host of great nephews and nieces, cousins, friends and loved ones.

A visitation will be held at Rockhill Missionary Baptist Church, 1404 S. Gettysburg Ave, Dayton, on Friday November 11, 2016 from 10:00 am to 10:55 am where funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at West Memory Gardens in Moraine. Repast at the church following the graveside service.
