Martha M."Gloria" Laquaglia

Laquaglia, Martha M. "Gloria", age 89, born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on August 12, 1924 to her parents: John & Mary Magy, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2014.

Living most of her life in Kettering, Gloria was a member of The Sounds of Music Quartet, 1974 International Quartet Champions, and the Gem City Sweet Adelines, five time International Chorus Champions. She retired from L.M. Berry Company and was a member of Lifepointe Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Nicholas and long time friend: Judy St. John. She is survived by her daughter: Judith Lynn Bailey of New York. Gloria will be remembered and missed by a host of her Sweet Adeline friends including the St. John family: Douglas, Chad and Shane; the Barford's and the Morehead's, along with a co-worker from L.M. Berry, Mary (Charles) Moberly, and dear friend: Barbara Smith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 A.M with Dr. Fred and Katrina Wilson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Kettering.
