Martha L. Rath

Martha "Marty" Rath, age 73, of Miamisburg, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. Marty was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bernadine Ahlers; daughter, Ann; and nephew, Bradley Ahlers.

Marty is survived by her daughters, Tammy Hinegardner (Todd) and Christine Rath (James); seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Mary Ann Wallace; two brothers, Louis (Carol) Ahlers and David (Ann) Ahlers; many nieces, nephews and long-time friends.

Marty was retired from the City of Miamisburg after many years of dedicated service, and was later employed by Ahlers Catering and Nutritional Service. She will best be remembered for her deep and abiding love of family and friends, her gentle sense of humor, and her unwavering faith in God. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering, Boulevard, Kettering, OH), followed by a brief memorial service led by Pastor Dale Campbell of Ark Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to any local charity.
