Martha Bahintasi

Martha N. Bahintasi passed away on Monday, January 18th, 2021 at Kettering Hospital. She was born in Ruhengeri (North district), Rwanda in 1949 to Jeremie Ntabareshya and Marguerite Nyirakabuye.

Martha was a very strong, courageous, dedicated and hardworking person. For many years she managed the agriculture department in Rwanda. She was always hospitable and loved to cook. She would always have a big smile and loved to be a host to her family and friends. She would always tell her children how important it is to be independent and self-motivated in order to succeed in life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Caritas; two brothers, Deo and Damien.
Martha is survived by her beloved eight children; Albert, Beata, Benoit, Clementine, Felix, Aimable, Francois, and Henriette; twenty-three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of other family members and friends.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a service following at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at David's Cemetery, 4600 Mad River Road, Kettering, Ohio 45426.


The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places. For your safety and the protection of others during the COVID-19 pandemic social distancing is also recommended.
