Martha A. Hollen

HOLLEN, Martha A., age 81, of Englewood, passed away, Wednesday, March 23, 2011. She was born October 31, 1929 in Portsmouth, OH, the daughter of the late Albert and Mildred (Shaw) Sagowitz.

Martha graduated from Miami-Jacobs College in 1985 and was the oldest to graduate from Miami-Jacobs at that time. She was a good Christian woman, a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother.

Martha is survived by her children, Robert L. (Jean) Hollen II, Deborah K. Reed, Michael D. (Trish) Hollen, John A. Hollen, Helen L. Smith; 16 grandchildren, Megan, James, Robb, DJ, Shane, Joshua, Jordan, Jacob, Luke, Shawn, Jason, Tara, David, Matthew, Jennifer, and Kyle; 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Hollen; one daughter, Anna M. Armes; two sisters, Helen Bloomfield and Louise Conklin; five brothers, Howard, Charles, Robert, William, and Jack Sagowitz.

Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to The Hospice of Dayton.
