Marsha Gay

Mrs. Marsha Gay was born on March 16, 1956 to the late Horace Kelly Jr. and Charlene Cochran. She departed this life on Saturday, November 6, 2021. She was a native Daytonian and graduated from Roth High School, class of '74.

Marsha was a member of the Potter House where she was a greeter, intercessor, participant of the Evangelism Walk, and occasionally preached on the 6am Prayer Line. She served with the Outreach Ministry Inspiration Care On The Go as chaplain, minister, intercessor, and armor bearer. Marsha received her chaplaincy through the Greater Works Christian Center. She also completed the tax preparation courses for H&R Block, and spent time working at the Miami Valley Child Development Center.

Marsha will be missed by her loving husband, Andrew Gay; siblings: Brenda Kelly, Loretha Whiteside, Lorrie (Richard) Veal, Stephanie Simpson, Paul Cochran, Gilbert Cochran, Dale (Janet) Henderson, Phillip (Adrennia) Kelly, and Alan (Tonja) Kelly; children: Keisha Gay, Jeremy (Suria) Gregg, Rita Gay, and Felicia (Alvin) Lewis; bonus children, Tammera (Danny) Dix, Shauni Kelly-Cowan, and Kenneth (Malia) Howland II; as well as many extremely loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Monday, November 15, 2021, at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. A burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.

A repast will be held following the burial at VFW Post 5018, 4110 Free Pike, Dayton, OH 45416.
