Marris Tye

August 14, 1951 — November 11, 2013

Marris L. Tye, age 62, of Kettering, OH passed away on Monday November 11, 2013.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carnice and Gila Tye; children, Jody and Matthew Tye; and step-daughter, Shelli Trammell.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sarah "Marti" Tye; son, Jason (Samantha) Tye; step-children, Kelli (Chuck) MacKeen, Brian Owens, Sean (Heather) Owens, and John (Leila) Owens; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and brother, Randy (Cathy) Tye.

Marris was an U.S. Army veteran and a member of AmVets #2003 and VFW #9925. He was a former member of MC Brothers.

Visitation is Thursday November 14, 2013 from 6pm to 8pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.

Funeral service is Friday November 15, 2013 at the David's Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Dayton, OH.

Pastor Chuck MacKeen is officiating.
