Marlene Williams "Lover"

Marlene Williams “Lover”, 67 of Dayton, passed away on December 11, 2024, at Kettering Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 27, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late John H. Williams Sr. and Irene Williams.

Marlene is preceded in death by parents John H Williams Sr. and Irene Williams brothers, John H Williams Jr. and Victor Williams, maternal grandparents, George Smith Sr. and Obeliah Smith, Paternal grandmother, Adelle McClellan, Nephew Rufus Moorehead Jr. Nieces, Pamela Pettaway and Denise Williams, Great Nephew, Ritchie Moorehead.

Marlene is survived by; three children, Di’Nia Williams, Ayisha (Alex) Walker, and Alonzo Looney III, two grandchildren, Angyneller Walker and Chad Walker; two great-grandchildren; Messiah Thompkins and Amya Brent: two sisters, Catherine Roberts of Gurnee, IL., Myra (Will) Hall of Waukegan, IL., four brothers Alex Williams of Clayton, Oh., Tyrone Williams of Trotwood, Oh., Timothy (Angela) Williams of Dayton, Oh., Orrick Williams of Dayton, Oh., Aunt, Barbara Smith of Dayton, Oh. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, a special friend, Sabir Shakir, and a special cousin Deborah Jean Walker. 

Marlene attended Colonel White High School in Dayton, Oh. She owned and operated her own in-home daycare business, where she enjoyed caring for many of her daycare kids, for ten years She had a love for children, she previously served as the leader of the children's department at Shiloh Baptist and worked as a healthcare provider taking care of persons with physical and developmental disabilities. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and Services from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home-North Chapel, located at 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. The Funeral Service will be officiated by Minister Benard D. Jones Jr.
