Marlene J. Foor

FOOR, Marlene J., age 78, of Kettering, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2009. She was born August 19, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio. She worked at Kettering Medical Center for many years as an LPN. She was a member of Kettering First Church of God, enjoyed cooking for her family - especially pie making, quilting, and taking care of others. She is survived by three daughters, Connie (Dennis) Schaedler, Melanie (Dan) Salyers, and Barbara (Scott) Kaminsky; one son, Robert (Niki) Foor; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Bethany, Katie, and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl R. Foor; parents, Oatley and Florence (Bender) Cooley; one brother, Pete Cooley. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made in Marlene's memory to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marlene's Elmcroft family and staff for all their dedication and love.
