Marlene "Sue" Gossett, age 84, of Dayton passed away on May 3, 2024. She was born in Urbana, Ohio on June 27, 1939 to the late Maynard and Francis Parker. In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her husbands, Lloyd Willeby and Robert Gossett.
Sue is survived by her son, Gary Willeby and granddaughter, Genea Willeby; along with other family and friends.
Sue graduated from Knob Noster High School, Class of 1954. She had an affinity for music and if it was a live show, she was there. Sue loved animals and if it meowed she was particularly fond of it; there is a neighborhood full of fat cats to prove it. She was silly beyond measure, with a sense of humor larger than life and she loved to make her friends laugh. She would often determine where to eat based on the best coupon being offered.
After the passing of her first husband, Sue married Robert in 1969. She and Robert often worked a bus route for the Dayton Baptist Temple. Sue loved history and antiques, most of her life she bought, sold or collected them. She spent a lot of time with Robert running estate sales and would often find unique treasures of her own. She had a servant's heart and changed the lives of many people she knew. If she had something and you needed it, she would give it to you and expect nothing in return. Sue's legacy will forever carry on in the people she loved and those that loved her.
