Marlene "Dutchie" R. Wiley, age 82, of Kettering Ohio, passed away November 15, 2019 at Bethany Village. She was born September 11, 1937 in Dayton Ohio to the late Francis and Alice Grierson.
Dutchie was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a retired telephone operator from Ohio Bell. She was a member of the Telecommunications Pioneer Club. Dutchie was loved by all who knew her. She had a passion for crocheting, movies, babies, and family.
In addition to her parents, Dutchie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wiley; brother, Melvin (Mae Jo) Grierson; niece, Jennifer Grierson.
Dutchie is survived by her sisters, Theresa (Greg) Shoup, Rita (Don) Cottrill, Eileen (Jerry) Hoffman; brothers, Herb (Linda) Grierson, Ted (Betty) Grierson, and Dan (Kyla) Grierson; Aunt Betty Hanger; 6 step-grandchildren; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will take place on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton Ohio). Funeral service will begin at 10:30 am with Trudy Leis officiating. Burial will follow at Lower Miami Cemetery, Miamisburg Ohio.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Dutchies honor to Hair for Kids and or Honor Flight.
Dutchie's final request is that this is a Celebration of her life and she wants you to be casual dressed and please do not wear black.
