Mark A. Rosner

October 16, 1958 — April 21, 2021

Rosner, Mark A, 62, of Dayton, OH, passed away on April 21, 2021. He was a 1977 graduate of Speedway High School in Speedway, IN. Mark had a distinguished career in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman. He advanced to the rank of Staff Sergeant and retired in 1995. He went on to have a second career with the Indiana Department of Correction where he attained the rank of Lieutenant and retired in 2012. He enjoyed a perfect retirement job working at the Golf Club at Yankee Trace for several years.

Mark had a passion for golf, traveling and gambling and spent his retirement years happily engaging in those activities with his wife, Jill, who will cherish those memories always. Growing up in Speedway, IN, with four brothers and a sister, he had a love for auto racing, both the Indianapolis 500 and the Brickyard 400. Race weekend was always a big deal in the Rosner family. Mark's favorite hobby during the winter was playing Clash of Clans and he spent hours strategizing over his attack plan. It filled his hours and brought him no end of entertainment.

Mark was loved by all who met him. He is survived by his wife, Jill Perdue Rosner. Also surviving are his son, Audeliz Santiago, Jr.; step-son, Steven Cowdrey (Michelle), grandchildren, Garrett, Haley, Mackenzie, Wyatt, Alyssa and McKenna; brothers, Richard (Mary Ann) Rosner, Matthew (Sandra) Rosner; sister, Lisa (George) Seymour; sisters-in-law, Donna Rosner and Gayle Owens; and many beloved aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by countless friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Evelyn Rosner; brothers, Gregory and Paul Rosner and children, Michael, Gerald and Marlana.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace, 10000 Yankee St., Centerville, OH 45458.
