Mark Forsthoefel, age 57 of Kettering, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014. He was born November 4, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Paul and Anna (Pat) Forsthoefel.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Mark is survived by his wife, Nancy; his mother, Pat; a daughter, Amy (Michael) McSwegin; a son, Daniel Forsthoefel; three grandchildren, Megan McSwegin, Lydia McSwegin, and Marley Forsthoefel; four sisters, Barbara Pennucci, Marilyn Portune, Susan Mullan, and Anne Callahan; and four brothers, David Forsthoefel, William Forsthoefel, Thomas Forsthoefel, and John Forsthoefel. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Mark was a member of the Miami Valley Astronomical Society.

Visitation will be Monday, September 15, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church (5550 Munger Road, Dayton, Ohio 45459).

A Mass will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Helen Catholic Church (605 Granville Pl, Dayton, OH 45431).
