Mark W. Fehrman, age 60, passed away in Xian, China on October 7, 2015. Mark was born to Joan and the late Ralph Fehrman on October 31, 1954 in Cambridge, Ohio.
Mark is survived by his wife Kathy, of 40 years: sons: Joshua (Kristina) Fehrman, Zachary Fehrman; grandson, Nathaniel; brothers: Max (Barbara), Jay (Celena), Ted (Mary); sisters: Donna (Bob) Morris, Mary Lou (Jim) Howland; and many other friends and relatives.
Mark graduated from Cedarville College, Cedarville, Ohio in 1975 and received his masters from Cornerstone Christian University in 2009. Mark was director of the Epilepsy Foundation in Amherst, Ohio for 7 years and authored a pamphlet for families of those with epilepsy. He pastored Southwood Baptist Church in Mansfield, Ohio and Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. Currently, he was leading pastoral trainings in India and other parts of Asia.
Mark loved his God, his family and helping others know God more deeply. He enjoyed reading, making walking sticks, and gadgets. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and students who treasured his teaching ability, his compassion for others, his wry sense of humor and his love of family.
Funeral service will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:30 am at Clearcreek Chapel (2738 Pennyroyal Road, Springboro, Ohio). Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, Ohio) A short interment service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo, Ohio.
