Mark Anthony Cross, 43, beloved father, husband, son, brother, and friend, went to rest in his Lord and Savior on September 3, 2024, after a long battle with depression.
Mark was born on August 28, 1981 to Michael and Jacqueline Cross at George Air Force Base in Victorville, California. From a young age, Mark was an incredibly smart and talented learner. He was a jack of all trades and loved to build and create things whether it was Legos, tree forts or anything else he could tinker with, nail, or piece together. He was also a prankster and loved a good battle of wits and jokes.
Mark lived his life the best he knew and left this earth wishing for nothing more than that his wife and children would be loved, cared for and supported by his family and friends. Mark’s children truly are his living legacy, blessing him with much pride, joy, and delight. While our hearts mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is at peace.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Xoliswa Cross and his amazing children, Mpho Cross, Maita Cross, Marcus Cross and Monde Cross as well as his parents, Michael and Jacqueline Cross, his brothers, Michael, Matthew and Micah and his sisters, Janet and Jennifer and his favorite aunt Jackie as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00AM on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Centerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 456 W. Spring Valley Pike, Dayton, OH 45458.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that we honor Mark’s children by helping in putting together a book to share your fondest memories of Mark and any thoughts or words of comfort. Please visit the Guestbook below to share a memory of Mark or leave a special message for his family.
