Austin, Mark A., 52, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2009. Mark was born in Hampton, Virginia on 3/08/57 and was avid lover of animals and nature. He also loved the water, beach, sun, boating, and sports. His favorite teams were Alabama Crimson Tide, the Chicago Bears, and the Boston Red Sox Another passion of Mark's was playing billiards. He had played for many teams in the Dayton area. Mark was quiet natured but very loving and passionate about his beliefs. He was very proud of the stint that he served in the United States Air Force from 1978-1982 where he served 4 years and was stationed in a wide variety of places mainly Germany. Because of his exposure in the service, it enabled Mark to travel extensively around the world. Mark has been a plumber for 26 years. He was co-owner of All-Service Plumbing Company in Dayton, Ohio. He took great pride in plumbing and had an outstanding work ethic. He was truly a craftsman. Mark loved his family and was a wonderful husband and grandfather who will be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife Joan Austin (nee Sutphin); step children Susan E. Mullikin and Lauralee M. Petree, and her husband Tim; granddaughter Annabelle Marie Gray; father-in-law Robert E. Sutphin; parents Bill and Barbara Austin, of VA, brothers Terry Austin, his wife Robin, of TN and David Austin, his wife BJ, of KY; sister Lisa Kaloustian, of VA; special niece Sydney Kaloustian, of VA; favorite Unlce Harold "Pete" Hayes, of VA; cousin Robin Goodwin, of VA; special cousin Jeff Hayes, his wife Lisa; numerous other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and family and friends. Funeral services will be held 5:00PM Sunday November 29, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Father Patrick Tonry officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00-5:00Pm Sunday prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to SICSA.
