Merrill, Marjorie Frances, age 93, of Beavercreek passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2013.

She was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 30, 1919, third child of ten, raised in old north Dayton, and a graduate of Julienne High School.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Zink Ballman, her father Gabriel Ballman, her sisters, Rita Ballman and Betty Curtis (and Richard Curtis), brothers Gerry Ballman, Richard Ballman (and Rose Ballman), Paul Ballman, and Kenneth Ballman and brother-in-law Frank Boltz; her loving husband Eugene C. Merrill, daughter Sue Ann Merrill, and twin great granddaughters, Stella Jean and Mary MacKenzie Godwin.

She is survived by two sisters, Marietta Boltz, Sister Elaine Ballman SND, one brother John Ballman (and Christine "Beanie" Ballman), sister in law Alma Kroger Ballman, four sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck and Debbie Merrill of Greensboro, Georgia, Doug and Donna Merrill of Bellbrook, Ohio, Greg and Ann Merrill of Miamisburg, Ohio, Ken and Shari Merrill of Marietta, Georgia, eight grandchildren, Brian Lavendar (Leisha), Ben Merrill (Jamie), Andy Merrill (Margaret Anne), MaryBeth Godwin (Bret), Griffin Merrill (Melissa), Hannah Morgan (David), Kate Merrill-Balart (Etienne) and John Merrill, eleven great grandchildren, Austin, Logan, Monica, Gabrielle, Samantha, Sophie, Briley, Dylan, Reid, Ryan and Leah, and dear friend Pinkie Osterfield.

Marjorie was a loving wife and homemaker who will be remembered as a devoted mother of four boys. She was an active member of the Rambler Sunshine Association, UD Mother's Club and Beavercreek Firefighter's Women's Auxiliary. She was an avid sports fan of all seasons and master chauffeur. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Ascension, 2001 Woodman Drive, Kettering, OH 45420, Tuesday, July 2, 2013, 12:00 noon.

Interment Calvary Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at church from 10:30 a.m. until Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice or charity of your choice in memory of Marjorie. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek.
