Marjorie Lucas

LUCAS, Marjorie (Simpson) age 85 and Hartley "Art"age 86 passed away December 12 and December 15, 2010 respectively. They are preceded in death by son, Jeffrey Lucas and grandson, Robert Lucas. They are survived by loving children: Hartley "Joe" (Patricia), Douglas E. (Rebecca), and Lori K. (Larry) Doggett of Michigan and daughter-in-law, Pam Lucas; grandchildren: Gina Lucas, Jennifer (Pete) Barrett, Matthew (Jessie) Lucas, Rachael (Jeff) Sheridan, Peter (Samentha) Lucas, Megan Lucas, Tommy Lucas, and Jonathan Doggett; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Adelaide, Piper, John, Violet, Chloe, Olivia, and Ruby. Marjorie is survived by 2 brothers, Walter "Bud" and John Simpson. She was born and raised in Blanchester, Ohio and graduated from Blanchester High School. She retired from the West Carrollton Schools (head cook CF Holiday School). Hartley is survived by 1 sister, Ellen Frost. He was born in Springboro, Ohio and attended West Carrollton Schools. He served in the United States Army during WWII at which time he was awarded the Purple Heart. He retired from the Kroger Company. The family would like to thank Ursula Smart and her associates of Angels Among Us In Home Health Care LLC for the tender care and support of their parents. A visitation will be held for both on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – South, 3940 Kettering Blvd. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either The Alzheimer's Association or The Heart Association.
