Age 78, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 5, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Harry Smith in 1992; mother & father, Edna R. & Jess F. Murphy; two brothers, Jess C. & Walter Murphy; and by four sisters, Lillian, Vivian, Evelyn & Virginia.
Marjorie was the mother of eight children, Harry C. Jr (& Cecilia) Smith, Linda (& Thomas) Jones, Marjorie Elaine (& James) Mayfield, Roger Dale Smith, Cathy Lynn (& Dan) Baer, Virginia Louise Kramer, Mark Lacy Smith and Johnny Todd Smith; 32 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; her dear brother, sister and sister-in-law, Robert Lee & Betty Murphy of Fl and Alice Haley of Dayton; and by a multitude of nieces & nephews who will miss her.
Marjorie was a member of Our Fathers House Church.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Our Fathers House, 594 Brandt Pike, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at the church Friday at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Willow View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contribtuions should be made in memory of Marjorie to Our Fathers House Church.
