COLLINS, Marjorie Irene Weiland
age 87, of Dayton passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Elmcreek Nursing Home. Marjorie was born February 21, 1919, in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of John and Phyllis Engel. She was a professional ballroom dance instructor with her late husband. She survived by John Carl (Sharon) Weiland and R. James (Carol) Weiland; step-son, Brian (Barbara) Heckman; grandchildren, John, Renee, Sonja, Josh, Adam, and Abby; great grandson, Jonathan Hunter. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Collins; daughters, Laureen Davis, Marjorie Lou and Martha Lee Kuhns. Family will receive friends 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel,118 Woodland Ave. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Marjorie's memory to the American Cancer Society and The Gideons International.
