Marjorie Sue Brungart, née White, of Beavercreek, Ohio, died quietly in her sleep on the morning of January 4, 2013. A long-term survivor of breast cancer, Sue was under the care of Hospice of Dayton for Neuroendocrine Cancer and Multiple Myeloma at the time of her death at age 72. Sue graduated from the Community Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, Ohio and worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 40 years before retiring from Kettering Medical Center. She was active in the community as a volunteer, friend, and mentor through many organizations, including Reach for Recovery, the Beavercreek Women's League, the Red Hat Society, Springfield Elderly United, and other local senior centers. Sue was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by her husband of 47 years, David L. Brungart, of Beavercreek; her two sons, David C. Brungart of Springfield, Ohio and Douglas S. Brungart of Rockville, Maryland; and their families: Tonya Higgs of Springfield, OH and Lisa, Violet, and Jade Brungart of Rockville, MD. Sue truly lit up all of our lives. In accordance with Sue's wishes, she will be cremated, her ashes to be mingled with those of her husband after his death. There will be no viewing or public memorial service, and she requested that donations should be made to Hospice of Dayton in lieu of flowers. However, a reception to remember her and celebrate her life will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on January 20th at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH.
