Marion Voehringer, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully left this world on December 11, 2024, in Kettering, Ohio, at the age of 90. Born on July 7, 1934, in St. Helens, England, Marion's life journey was rich with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments that touched the hearts of everyone around her.
Marion's family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dale T. Voehringer, with whom she shared countless cherished years. Together, they created a warm and loving home that welcomed all who entered. Marion was proud of her sons, Gary (Jennifer) Voehringer and Donald (Victoria) Voehringer, and she thrived in roles of mother and mentor to them throughout their lives. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in their hearts and in the lessons she imparted to them.
Marion adored her grandchildren, Shannon Barth and Tiffany Voehringer, who were a source of immense joy and pride for her. The love she bestowed upon them was matched only by the delight she found in her great grandsons, Jackson Barth and Mason Barth. Each moment spent with her family was a treasured memory, and her legacy of love will forever resonate across generations.
Though Marion has departed, she is preceded in death by several loved ones who shaped her life: her father, Fred Heywood; her mother, Elizabeth Heywood; her sister, Edith Ashland; and her beloved grandson, Thomas Voehringer. These family ties, though no longer present in this world, remain an enduring part of Marion's story, connecting each of them with her loving spirit.
Marion also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will remember her kindness, her infectious smile, and her warm embrace. She had a special way of making everyone feel seen and loved, creating a beautiful tapestry of relationships that enriched her life and the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
As we remember Marion Voehringer, we celebrate a life well-lived, a heart full of love, and a woman who will forever be missed. She will be remembered for her strength, her grace, and the gentle wisdom she offered to all. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marion’s memory to American Cancer Society.
