On the morning of June 14, 2023, Marion "Joyce" Lewis of Moraine, Ohio
died at the age of 86. Joyce was born to John and Irene Smith on
September 30, 1936 in Morley, Tennessee.
As a young adult Joyce attended Miami Jacobs Junior College in Dayton,
Ohio. She served as a proud team member of Woody's Market in West
Carrollton for nearly 30 years. Joyce was a huge County Music fan. She
herself was a proud coal miners daughter. Joyce often spoke of her trip to
Nashville and "Twitty City". She was especially fond of dogs and nothing
put a bigger smile on her face more than her furry friends. Joyce had her
favorite dogs over the years Albert, Gummy and Izzy.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father John, mother Mary Irene,
brothers Gerald, Charles and Lowell and grandson Nate. She is survived
by her daughters LouAnn and Robin, sons-in-law Gus and Jimmy, brother
Joe, sisters Barbara and Patricia, grandchildren Matt, Andrew, Emily and
Hannah, Great Grandchildren Nathan, Elise, Alex, Alise, Tegan, Calli,
Angelo and Rowan, several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
