Marion S. Hutson

Marion S. Hutson, age 82 of Medway, died on September 19, 2018. She was born in Morley, TN, the daughter of the late Clarence and Jessie (Smith) Hutson. Following graduation from high school in LaFollette, TN, she attended the University of Dayton before transferring and graduating from Tennessee Polytechnic Institute, now Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, TN in 1957. She was a research biologist at the Georgia Medical College in Augusta, Georgia for more than 30 years before retiring in 1992. After retirement she moved to Medway, OH to help with the care of her mother. While living in Medway she was active in the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and the Medway Area Historical Society and well known for her culinary skills.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Karen Hutson; nieces, Kelly (Richard) Wiggins, Leslie (Mark) Lehner and Heather (David) Sproull; two great nephews; four great nieces; a special relative, Denise Hutson of Lincolnton, Georgia and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. at 1:30 PM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 with a visitation one hour prior (12:30 PM) to the service. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd UMC, 1520 Styer Dr., New Carlisle, OH, in her memory.
