Marilyn Smith, age 90, was born on June 1, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio. She passed away on June 11, 2022 at Kettering Hospital. She lived a very long and full life, enjoying every step of the way.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her mother, Henreatta Frazier; father, Louis Frazier; three brothers, Lucius Frazier, Kenneth (Elaine) Frazier of Dayton, Ohio and Ernest (Eloise) Frazier of California; three sisters, Dorthey (Rufus) Thomas, Corine (Bill) Ward, and Eulia (Tommy) Hill of Dayton, Ohio; former husband, Albert B. (Kathy) Smith; and two aunts, Berniece (Albert) Greene and Wila Mae (Oscar) Jackson.
Marilyn is survived by three sons, Roger Smith, Albert (Lolita) Smith III, and Reginald (RhaDonna) Smith; four grandchildren, Reginald Jr, Ryene Marie, Jazmin, and Calvin; special cousin, Annie Mathews; and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Marilyn graduated from Dunbar High School, Wright State University, and University of Dayton. She went on to pursue a career in education and taught school for over 30 years. Marilyn enjoyed bowling, cooking, and was an avid card player. She enjoyed having parties and reunions and was very adamant about family staying connected with each other. Marilyn Smith was the matriarch of the family and spent a lifetime taking care of her family. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home-South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). Funeral Service will be officiated 11:00 am.
