Marilyn M. Redman, age 90, passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at Traditions of Beavercreek in Beavercreek, Ohio. Marilyn was born Jan. 27, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Floyd Swope Jr., and Leone (Davis) Swope.
Marilyn attended Cleveland's Lincoln High School and later graduated from Jane Addams High School. She graduated from the Lutheran Nursing School, where she received a LPN certification and practiced as a nurse for 8 years. She then moved all over the U.S. and Germany as the military wife to her former husband who served their country in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1975. Marilyn enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren, taking care of the family pets and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Ken (Jane Anne) Redman, Kurt (Sandra) Redman, Deb (Kyle) Whitcomb, and Sharon Redman (fiancé Vinny Jacaruso) Redman; grandchildren, Christopher Rose, Erica Whitcomb, and Jeffrey Whitcomb; brother Dr. Alan Swope (Annie Sweetnam) and nephews and nieces, Joy (Swope) Lynam, Holly (Swope) Emmons, Bill Swope, Jonathan and David Beck, Alison and Laura Swope, Michael Goloja and Anne Marie Daberkow.
She is preceded in death by her former husband and father of their children, John C. Redman; sister Shirley Beck, brother Floyd K. Swope Jr., brothers-in-law Don Beck and Mike Goloja, and sister-in-law, June Goloja.
Services and burial are planned to be private. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park in N. Olmsted, OH.
